How the calculation works

Bag option = whole bags × bag price + entered bag extras. Delivered option = billed yards × rate + entered fees and tax. Compare only when both scopes are complete.

A worked example

For 3 yd³ before allowance, 135 bags at 0.60 ft³ are required. At an illustrative $6 per bag, that is $810 before bag-option extras.

Is ready-mix cheaper than bagged concrete?

It depends on volume, whole-bag purchases, delivery minimums, fees and labor. Compare equivalent products and complete price scopes. The tool names a cheaper entered option only when all required costs are supplied.

What to check before using the result

  • Compare products that suit the same specified job.
  • Convenience, mixing capacity and pour sequencing are separate from the entered cost difference.
